1. What Jornada is
Jornada is software for scheduling jobs, tracking hours, recording expenses, producing estimates, invoices and receipts, and summarising what a business earned and spent. You reach it through a web browser at app.getjornada.com.
We work to keep it available and quick, but we do not promise it will never be down. Software has outages, and so does the internet between you and it.
2. Your account and your people
You need an account to use Jornada, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep passwords private, and give each person on your team their own sign-in rather than sharing one.
You decide who on your team is an owner, a manager or a worker, and each level sees a different amount. You are responsible for the people you invite and for removing them when they leave.
3. Your information belongs to you
Your jobs, customers, workers, prices and money records are yours. We do not sell them, rent them, advertise against them, or hand them to anyone else except the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, who help us run Jornada and may only use the data to do so.
You can download your customer list, job history, expenses and profit report as spreadsheets at any time, while your account is open.
We look at the contents of your account only when we need to fix a problem you have reported, or where the law requires it.
4. Using it properly
Do not use Jornada to break the law, to store information you have no right to hold, to attack or overload the service, or to try to reach another business's data. We may suspend an account being used that way.
5. What it costs
Jornada costs $20 per month per business unless we have agreed something different with you in writing. There is no contract and no setup fee.
You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; the month you have already paid for runs to its end. We do not refund part-months.
If the price changes we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can decide whether to continue.
If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it before the account is suspended.
6. Money between you and your customers
Jornada does not take payments from your customers and does not hold your money. Any Zelle number, Venmo name or other payment detail you enter is printed on your documents exactly as you typed it — we do not verify it, and your customer pays you directly.
If card or bank payments are switched on for your account in future, a third-party payment company processes those payments under its own agreement with you, and its fees are separate from what you pay us.
7. What Jornada is not
Jornada calculates figures from what you and your team enter. It is not an accountant, a tax adviser, a lawyer, or a payroll service.
In particular, the Hours and Profit sections work out what hours were logged and what they are worth at the rates you set. They do not withhold taxes, file returns, or produce tax forms for your workers. Getting payroll and tax right remains your responsibility, and figures from Jornada should be checked before they are relied on for filings or for paying anyone.
8. Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you like. We can end this agreement if you break these terms, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason.
After an account is closed we keep its data for 30 days in case it was a mistake, and then delete it. Download anything you want to keep before you cancel.
9. Where we stand if something goes wrong
Jornada is provided as it is. We do not promise it will suit every business or be free of faults, and we cannot be liable for lost profits, lost work, or losses that follow indirectly from using it.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the most we can be liable for is the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Jornada after that means you accept the new version. Older versions are available on request.
11. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there.

1. Qué es Jornada
Jornada es un programa para agendar trabajos, registrar horas, anotar gastos, hacer presupuestos, facturas y recibos, y resumir cuánto ganó y cuánto gastó un negocio. Se usa desde un navegador en app.getjornada.com.
Trabajamos para que esté disponible y rápido, pero no prometemos que nunca se caiga. Los programas fallan a veces, y también el internet que hay entre tú y ellos.
2. Tu cuenta y tu gente
Necesitas una cuenta para usar Jornada y eres responsable de lo que pase con ella. Guarda bien las contraseñas y dale a cada persona de tu equipo su propio acceso en vez de compartir uno.
Tú decides quién es dueño, encargado o trabajador, y cada nivel ve una cantidad distinta de información. Eres responsable de a quién invitas y de quitarle el acceso cuando se va.
3. Tu información es tuya
Tus trabajos, clientes, trabajadores, precios y registros de dinero son tuyos. No los vendemos, no los rentamos, no ponemos publicidad sobre ellos ni se los damos a nadie, salvo a los proveedores que aparecen en nuestro Aviso de Privacidad, que nos ayudan a operar Jornada y solo pueden usar los datos para eso.
Mientras tu cuenta esté abierta puedes descargar en hojas de cálculo tu lista de clientes, el historial de trabajos, los gastos y el reporte de ganancia.
Solo vemos el contenido de tu cuenta cuando hace falta para resolver un problema que nos reportaste, o cuando la ley lo exige.
4. Usarlo como se debe
No uses Jornada para violar la ley, para guardar información que no tienes derecho a tener, para atacar o saturar el servicio, ni para intentar llegar a los datos de otro negocio. Podemos suspender una cuenta que se use así.
5. Cuánto cuesta
Jornada cuesta $20 al mes por negocio, salvo que hayamos acordado otra cosa contigo por escrito. No hay contrato ni cargo de instalación.
Puedes cancelar cuando quieras. Cancelar detiene el siguiente cobro; el mes que ya pagaste corre hasta el final. No devolvemos meses partidos.
Si el precio cambia te avisaremos por correo con al menos 30 días de anticipación, para que decidas si sigues.
Si un pago falla te avisaremos y te daremos un plazo razonable para arreglarlo antes de suspender la cuenta.
6. El dinero entre tú y tus clientes
Jornada no cobra a tus clientes ni retiene tu dinero. Cualquier número de Zelle, usuario de Venmo u otro dato de pago que escribas se imprime en tus documentos tal como lo escribiste — no lo verificamos, y tu cliente te paga directo a ti.
Si en el futuro se activan pagos con tarjeta o transferencia en tu cuenta, una empresa de pagos externa los procesa bajo su propio acuerdo contigo, y sus comisiones son aparte de lo que nos pagas a nosotros.
7. Lo que Jornada no es
Jornada calcula cifras a partir de lo que tú y tu equipo capturan. No es contador, asesor fiscal, abogado ni servicio de nómina.
En particular, las secciones de Horas y Ganancia calculan qué horas se registraron y cuánto valen a las tarifas que tú pusiste. No retienen impuestos, no presentan declaraciones ni generan formas fiscales para tus trabajadores. La nómina y los impuestos siguen siendo tu responsabilidad, y las cifras de Jornada deben revisarse antes de usarlas para declarar o para pagarle a alguien.
8. Terminar el acuerdo
Puedes cerrar tu cuenta cuando quieras. Nosotros podemos terminar este acuerdo si incumples estos términos, o avisándote con 30 días por cualquier otra razón.
Después de cerrar una cuenta guardamos sus datos 30 días por si fue un error, y luego los borramos. Descarga lo que quieras conservar antes de cancelar.
9. Si algo sale mal
Jornada se ofrece tal como está. No prometemos que le sirva a todos los negocios ni que no tenga fallas, y no podemos responder por ganancias perdidas, trabajo perdido o pérdidas indirectas derivadas de su uso.
Donde la responsabilidad no pueda excluirse, lo máximo que podemos deber es el total que nos pagaste en los doce meses anteriores al reclamo.
Nada de esto limita la responsabilidad por fraude ni por aquello que la ley no permite limitar.
10. Cambios a estos términos
Si cambiamos estos términos de una forma que te afecte, te escribiremos antes de que el cambio entre en vigor. Seguir usando Jornada después de eso significa que aceptas la nueva versión. Las versiones anteriores están disponibles si las pides.
11. Qué ley aplica
Estos términos se rigen por las leyes del Estado de Texas, Estados Unidos, y cualquier disputa se verá ante los tribunales de ese estado.
